BA-100   BASIC QUALITY CONTROL

Overview:

This basic Quality Control course is for those new to the Quality profession and those wanting to have greater understanding of the “why” the basic concepts and methods of modern Quality Control are effective in the manufacturing and service sectors.  This is a fundamental course for those pursuing the various Certifications.

Course content addresses the principles and techniques used to identify, quantify and monitor the major contributors to process variation.  These include: probability, frequency distributions, how/why variable and attribute control charts work; quantifying measurement variation; do’s and don’ts of sampling and advantages of three different types of plans; basics of Quality System specifications; and, application of these principles to the elements of continuous improvement as measured by “cost of quality”

The course is presented as a seminar and workshop that include discussion of situations and data presented by the attendees.

Textbooks and handouts are included in the course fee.  Some courses use instructor supplied material. The fees include all materials required for the course.
